How do you check if the tire pressure matches the recommended numbers on the fuel cap? The front pair doesn't look right to me now. They look bulge when parked. Also, I notice there is some peeling effect on the tire wall of the front left tire if you know what I mean.. The peeling effect is on the circle surrounding just above the word Michelin. I will take actual pic later. The peeling is very noticeable. It is less noticeable on the rear left, rear right, and almost none on the front right. The car is one year old now and I have never check the pressure since took delivery. If you are in Canada with standard 16" tire and rim, Michelin should be the brand you have.
To give you an idea what I mean, look at the sample pic below. Peeling effect area is on the red.
Maybe you have 100 PSI in your tires and they are about to explode! Seriously, check the pressures and then contact Michelin about this peeling you refer to. Have you been dragging the tires along concrete kerbing?
I don't think so because the tire doesn't look to have enough pressure. The peeling is on the left hand side so I don't think it has anything to do with dragging the tires along concrete kerbing.
The first question is easy to answer. You check the tire pressure with a tire pressure gauge. Barring that go to a full service gas station at your next fill up and have the attendant check the pressure.
The second question sounds very serious. A tire that is coming apart the way you describe down to the threads is a disaster waiting to happen. If you're only talking about a superficial peeling like a thin veneer (think clearcoat paint) then it may simply be some residue left over from something you drove through.
Definitely take pictures and post them up. If it looks severe then get it taken care of right away.
Your wife's B have Continental tires? Mine are Michelins.
Now what should I do? Do you think contacting my dealer help? Do you think they will replace the tire at no cost? The car is a year old now. I haven never check tire pressure since took delivery. Could the tires been under or over inflated already on delivery? What causes the peeling? What ground do I have?
Yes, we took delivery last May and the car came with Continentals.
I don't think over-inflation would cause the casing to separate like that. Typically an over-inflated tire will cause more wear down the center of the tread but obviously anything is possible.
Have the tire pressures checked and take a picture of your tire, espeically a closeup where you can see the threads showing.
Bring it to the attention of your dealership and ask them about it. Mention that you've seen evidence of this occuring on other Mercedes and to ask if there is some kind of safety recall/notice on the tires. If they do nothing then escalate to MB Canada and Michelin Canada.
What mileage do you have on the tires? I don't know if you took them off during winter but I'm curious to know what kind of mileage you have on the tires.
Your tires are almost worn out go and buy new tires and check your alignment.
Driving with thess tires on the water might be very slippery I can see you are already on the minimum thread.
Buy Tires recommended by the dealer do not buy the same one get other brand but still approved by Mercedes because of warranty issues.
How many km did you done on these tires?

Those C-Class tires may be showing evidence of major wheel alignment problems (excessive toe in, possibly also positive camber) and are worn well beyond reason. This wear could also be from overly-ambitious cornering.
I asked about kerbing because where I live there are plenty of opportunities to parallel park on the LH side of the road (one way streets).
