I've noticed that in the boot/trunk area where the first aid kit and owners handbook is kept there is a blanking piece that looks like it would house a 12v dc socket. This would be great for my cool box, rather than running a cable from the socket in the rear of the centre consol.
Has anyone fixed a 12v dc socket in the boot of a B Class and if so, is the wiring already in place or do you need to pick up a live off the wiring loom?
Any help or tips would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ross.

My Canadian B-Class has a 12V power socket in this location. It remains live even when the car is off so you have to be careful about leaving things plugged in overnight or you will have a dead battery in the morning.

My UK version only has a circular piece of plastic, that I guess, where the dc socket locates. I only want it for a coolbox which would be removed from the car when the car was parked. Thanks for your speedy reply.

My 06 rear 12 volt socket is live with the ignition on and stays live for a short period after leaving the car but drops to 0 volts when doors are closed or locked. Cheers, Derek

Had this apart when I fitted reversing bleeper could not find a spare lead, but there is a box of electrical connections behind the storage hole.
Did not try to wire up as with the computer control was concerned what I was doing ,and already have 12v plug in the passenger ashtray which stays on for 30 secs after ignition switch off, probably linked to interior lights
I ordered the rear 12V socket for 35 Euro's....
It's an option.
That's the real positive point when you order the car from new. I bought mine second hand, with the first owner not taking up the option. I'll drop it over to an auto electrician friend of mine and see what he can do.
Ross can you let us know what your auto electrician finds out
Thanks Keith
Keith, will do. Its not going to take top priority at the moment as I've started a running battle with my local Peugeot dealer over my wifes, not too impressive, 107.
