Smile Protective cover ?

Hi to all....

If you live into a dusty area you probably have the problem that after washing the car (especially the black ones!!) its dirty again after some hours from dust and other stuff...Soo.. i am looking for a good protective cover and i asked my local dealer who wants 350 euros !!!!!!!!!!!! (for original part...)

I asked to some local stores and the size of the car is very difficult.. Only way is to custom fit one...

Any suggestions of online stores ebay or any place i can find one?

Thanks!!

You may find pulling a cover on & off the car ,especially in dusty conditions, will cause scratching over time. Over here, some time ago, you used to be able to get a cover that was on a frame that folded out back to front over the car (rather like the hood on a convertible or pram) so the cover never touched the car. They are still made, it may be listed as something like a portable garage.

Found it it is called a perambulator garage

Try this link Item I am talking about is the right hand picture from google search

Portable Garages

Google also shows several suppliers of normal covers

Hi George,

You have to remember that any cover you put on will hold dust on it. As you roll it or pull it off, you will contaminate the inner surface of the cover with that same dust your trying to keep off the car. Car covers are used everywhere here in North America, but usually to protect from the sun and or light dust while in the garage. My A6 is garaged and also under cover because I never take it out enough and don't want to wash it before I do. If you Google car covers, there are endless of every quality to choose from, and it can be more of a problem in dirty areas as Keith was saying.
Portable garages is a huge business here in Canada and almost everybody uses them for winter snow protection when they don't have a garage. But I'm not sure if that's what you want. Let me know exactly what you want and I'll work on it for you.

Cheers, Derek

thanks for the info.. I know about dust and scratching and usually i fold it in such a way that inner surface never comes in touch with outer.I don't expect to keep all the dust out.. I have the car in a garage which is open around and its only for the sun....
