Useful Accessories

I thought it might be handy to have a thread where members could post any useful accessories that they either have or have seen advertised for the B class possibly with a link to the source.

I'll kick off with a boot mat purchased on ebay cost £ 14.85 carriage £ 9.90
It appears to have been dispatched from Germany. Made of a strong thick plastic so you don't get that horrible rubber smell in the car. It has alip all round so any small liquid spillage should be contained within the mat and is a good fit within the boot. Recommended

Recently I have purchased a brand new dog guard for my B class from Ebay. It was from a Mercedes dealership in northern England. I paid £45.00 for the item. Unforunatley they are non longer trading on ebay.

I've also upgraded my SatNav DVD from version 4.0, which came as standard with my car, to version 6.3 from Ebay.de from a private seller. This item was brand new and not a copy. This cost me 31.84 euro including delivery. Cheap as chips!!!

I've also bought, just for fun, a 1:18 scale model B Class, in silver, for my desk. Its a great model with opening doors and boot. This I also bought off Ebay.de. The supplier is also a Mercedes Dealership and has some great accessories for your B Class. The model, if anyone is interested, can be found here.

If you view his shop you will see all the other B Class accessories.

For car care bits I use Aldi's supermarket stuff. The Bug and Tar wipes are great for the price of 99p. The same for the leather wipes and dashboard wipes also at 99p. Leather restorer is in store at £2.99 for more intense applications. I also use an Aldi microfibre wash mitt also bought for, well you can guess, 99p.

Strange I was after one of those in black (on ebay) when I had my old motor but by the time I'd decided to 'go for it' it had gone. Still that silver one sounds interesting.

Doh ! the models got the sports pack & orange front indicators

Nice accessory store though well worth a look for customising your B class

I've bought a bumper guard from stainless steel to protect the top off the rear bumper when loading.
I'll post some pictures soon.

norfolk.enchance,
what is 'dog guard'? could you post a pic of it?

i've purchased orginal mercedes boot mat - dont remember the price but it's a must when you have a dog, rear sill protector is also very good, mine is made from plastic but i suppose stainless steel looks much better

I bought two pairs of mud flaps (front and back) from MB. They provide good protection in winter's snowy weather and two pairs of wind deflectors. Useful when you want to roll down windows for fresh air in rainy day.

Kevin.. regarding your boot mat. Is it a perfect fit? How big is the shipping package? Currently I am using one of those cheap rug (carpet) costs $10CAD.

Yep, bought them on the German Ebay (ebay.de).
Just search for 'Ladekantenschutz' in combination with B-Klasse or W245.
Bought mine from BSB car tuning, price including delivery was about 60 Euro's.

Paul001

The description from kdbcom is spot on. Thats the same dog guard as I purchased. Its an original Mercedes fitting so it fits well.

I bought it to allow me to carry more luggage in the rear. I can now get 4 full size suitcases and hand luggage in without having to resort to roofbars and topbox.
