Changes on latest B class

Had new B class (B200 CDI Auto but not Sports as I had previously) delivered today there only seem to be minor changes from my old model:-

Good news
At last Audio 20 radio has an AUX in socket for MP3 etc it is located in the glove comparment alongside the cold air inlet (which now you can appear to shut)
Aux in is selected by pushing the CDC button for longer than 2 seconds the display changes to AUX and you get an AUX device connected indication. Unfortunately there is not room to get a good quality cable out of the glove box to the MP3 device as it stops the front cover closing properly, still you can't expect perfection can you.

Bad news
Still no MP3 playback from CDs (but at least it is now clear that you don't in the manual (unlike the previous one that was misleading)

It would appear that the rearview mirror may now auto dim but I have not been able to check that yet.

Major problems in delivery however several days wait for M/B to send a computer code to turn off SRS for my wife's (non-standard ) Elap swivelling seat for disabled users. Will be sending a very strong letter of complaint to M/B about lack of care for the disabled. The computer codes should be supplied within 24 hours. But were talking days here disgusting service. It really took the pleasure out of getting the new car.
Will advise if I find any further changes

on your new B. Any major cosmetic change to the exterior? Pic please.

Do you mean the size mirror can now auto dim as standard? I know rearview one can dim if you opt for the premium package in the 07 model. It is the size mirror that everybody including myself is questioning whether can dim or an error on the website and manual.

You might want to add to the title 08 model.

What the ****, still no support for mp3? This is something I expect from a car audio these days. I propably will to get my B180 CDI next week, from the 2008 line. Mercedes Benz should realize the buyers of the B-class propably are somehow younger than the regular Benz buyer and that they find mp3 support a nice feature to have.

No the exterior looks exactly the same

In the Uk a 2008 model is usually refered to as a model built from from about September onwards, mine has just been built late june / early july does that make it a 2008 model ?

Regarding the mirror mine has a little rear facing sensor and according to the manual it would appear to be the auto dim model but as I haven't been out at night yet to test it .

My model is the B200 CDI SE so maybe it is only fitted on the SE spec. It was not on my old SE thats for sure.

I'm also very dissapointed that MP3 Discs are not supported by now.

I have also heard that the ventilation outlet on top of the dash that comes with the thermotronic is gone. A real shame because I really like that outlet. It cools the car without blowing in my face.

Nice color..

Regarding the sensor, it is included in the premium package which I have. Can the size mirrors dim also? Mine doesn't seem to dim. Where is the sensor for the size? I have tested it.

Just notice MB Canada website now list the 08 model. The price for the base is under $30K CAD, lower than 07 model. Base model's premium package now includes wood trim and electronic compass. I always want wood trim.

I guess all our '07s just took a significant hit given that the '08 Turbo is around 2K cheaper than the '07 with less content... great.

Mind you, I didn't expect anything less. Mercedes adds more standard content every year to keep interest up (just look at the '07 C280 Avantegard which was a deal). What I didn't expect is a price drop which definitely doesn't help owners with older models.
