Removing lighter box

Hi,
I'd like to remove the lighter/ash box to put inside the sliding door something else (iPod, TomTom, etc). Do you know how to do?

Thank you!

It was probably easier to understand when in German. I must admit, though, that Babel Fish has worked for me in translating other documents in both French & German. Oh well back to the drawing board.
