To those people with the "low end" Audio 5 system (i include myself too..!) i have a recommendation for improving the sound inside the car without installing lot of cables amplifiers and so on...
I just added an active subwoofer which also has high input (from speakers) and it changed the overall sound experience by almost 100% !!!
Its the TS-WX206A of Pioneer with 60W of RMS power and very small for its category so the "big space" of B class remains almost the same...
I used the signal from rear speakers, and the position of the battery was very helpful to avoid passing thick cables to the engine compartment and etc... using the onboard filters of the sub, i reduced bass from headunit and the total volume is much higher with clear, strong and rich bass all over the car.. The only thing that is needed more, is replacement of rear speakers which really sucks!!! and maybe an addition of a pair of tweeters on the back.. this will improve performance more than 100%...
Do you remember the colour codes of the speaker wires you tapped and where did you access these wires, in the floor bundle or is there an audio out plug at the back of the radio? My sub is also installed but not yet connected. If there was an 'audio out plug' at the radio , it would be a neutral and better signal to tap in to. In Canada , I think we are supplied with an Audio 20 radio as standard equipment. The dealer says my radio has 130 watts so it should sound a lot better than it does. Derek

Hi Derek, i have the exact color codes of the cables but when i searched in the area of the floor i found some cables with the same colors(!)... so to be sure not to damage anything i "steeled" the signal direct from the speakers out connector of the headunit (Audio5). Of course if you have the option to take signal from a "line out" connector (If exists on Audio 20) it is much better... although in my case the results of using rear speakers signal are still impressive...
i forgot to mention the colors: WHITE/BROWNWHITE, BLACK/BROWNBLACK, GREEN/BROWNGREEN, PINK/BROWNPINK.
i don't remember which speaker is which cable, but i remember that the two outer couples on the connector are the rear speakers and the two inner are the front.
Also referring to the colors above, the first color is the positive lead (white,black,green,pink)...
As it seems all audio systems including Audio 5 have AUX IN and LINE OUT capabilities!!!
The connectors are 3 mini-ISO's (from which cd changers and other stuff are connected)... so its possible using the yellow mini-ISO (6 pin) to have a REAR LINE OUT, FRONT LINE OUT and SUBWOOFER out (!)... I hope only these pins not to be dead! (not connected)...
SO i have ordered the yellow connector (ebay) and i'll try to connect my sub through line connection... i'll let you people know for results... I didn't forget the pictures.. they are coming soon, as also new pictures from the new connection when it will be done..
Ok here are some photos of the sub installed, and some on which red arrows shows where the cabling is passed to reach the battery and the audio system...
As you can see the box is connected with two connectors which are very easily removed in case that i need more space... and then the audio system goes back to normal !
Thanks! I would have provided people with more useful pics when all the parts were taken out! (but i didn't think earlier...) But from now on i will...
You mentioned the mini iso, so I've ordered one also. Can we reach in to install the mini iso or do we remove the radio, and have you found out if the wires are live at the back of the radio? Sorry for all the questions ,just trying to do it once and properly.I wish we could get more info from the dealer but everthing is top secret here in Canada. How about getting a full repair manual, now that would be something! Derek
Hi Derek I have install aux input on my b200 Turbo I have Harman Kardon. You can by wires from the dealer even the tools for removing front panel and radio.
If you look back here in the forum I posted here it is really simple to remove the radio and plug in what you need.
Dealer does not know but if you give him part number he will order for you even so mine said the part will not fit in your car but it did. Part came really quick as well.
If you need help let me know.
I
