Shorter Aerial

Hi All. The standard aerial fitted to the B class, was always getting caught on the garage door (up and over) anyway, Richbrook now make shorter aerials made of alumimum, the standard merc one's are 290mm long, these come in two sizes 130 and 180mm long, ordered on sunday evening and it came ths morning, they come in chrome, silver or black, i got the black one, a nice looking bit of gear...............

Sounds good, any chance of any pictures.

Brabus also do a really short one about 35mm long, but I would be a bit worried about how good the reception of the radio would be.

Richbrook also make some smaller aerials the Fatboy & the Slimline these are 65mm & 90mm long but the do state that they are intended for show use only & may affect the radios performance.
I don't know if Sebl has the short (35mm) one on his Brabus if so perhaps he can tell us if it does in reality affect the reception ?

Yes I have the shorter 35mm Brabus aerial installed. from memory this was quite cheap, I'll check with Brabus and post the price. I have not had any problems with reception (on any freq). Certainly looks tidier than the OEM aerial. There is a picture of it in the B class Gallery thread.
