I'm not too familiar with steel wheels and wheel covers so I thought I'd pose this question.
I'm thinking about getting some winter tires for the car and figured it is cheaper in the long run to buy a second set of rims (this also will protect the alloys from salt). Of course, buying cheap alloys is overkill, so I figure going with basic steel wheels is best (for the cheque book anyway).
My question - I know that some of the B-class (in Canada at least) were originally delivered with steel wheels and wheel covers as standard. I'm assuming that these 16" wheel covers will fit any mainstream 16" steel wheel? In other words, can I just go and buy the covers from the dealer and then put them on my winter rims, or are they some odd German set up where only special steel wheels will work?
Hi Jeff , Derek here. I received my B200 with MB steel wheels & ordered a package with mags ,trim & heated seats separately. The MB hubcaps have a specific spring grip which probably only work on MB steel wheels. Good Luck
