I have just got the car back from the A service. Oil is replaced and everything seems to be OK. Even rear wiper works now.
But when I checked the computer I saw the message "service C in 14900 km". Strange is that service B has gone (or maybe there is no 'B' ). But thing that makes me really confused is that the 'next' service (however it's named) is in 15000 km. Serviceman told me that next service is in 20 kkm what is typical for diesel engines.
Any thoughts?
I have just had "A" service done at 18,000 Miles as instructed by display message
Mine now comes up with service "D" in 12,000 Miles. Mine is B 2000 CDI Auto.
I think the service "D" may include work on the Aircon as well as other items.
Sounds expensive !!!
Why are all our service times at different intervals, is it country specific ??
I live in the UK.
One member (Yuna_Ronald) previously posted that he had just had his "B" service.
I will eventually need a "B" service according to the computer. Car has 6,800km on it and the service is due when it hits about 20,000km. I think I'll bring it in before then however as the car will be 2 years old when it hits 20,000 and I'm not sure I'm comforable leaving the oil in there that long...
M/B seemed quite happy for mine to run for 18,000 miles (28,000Km) on its original oil. (I used to like to change diesels oil at 6,000 miles) But when you look at the cost of the oil they put in (around £ 80 for probably about 5 litres) it should last a long time. Liquid gold !!!
heyy... i just found something in the operator's manual
" The maintenance services will be indicated by showing a service type A through type H in the multifunction display. Types A through H are classified based on estimated time needed to perform the maintenance service, ranging from Service A (approx. 1 hour) to Service H (approx. 8 hours)"
