Hi all I have oe ne more point mention.
When I got our car brand new leaving from the dealership it was showing service B for few thousand kms after it switched to A service.
I had my A service done at 25000 km just because it was getting really cold in here I wanted to put fresh clean oil before the winter starts.
So far I drove around 1000km and service still shows C service.
It might be because maybe brake pads will need to changed next service.

No way (certainly not in the UK)

The basic "A" service, virtually just an engne oil change, cost £ 266.90 of which the oil cost about £ 80 (shell helix ax5w30) which M/B claim :-

Improved oil consumption
Extends CAT Conv. Life
Reduced oil consumption
Unsurpassed cold weather starting

This oil was supposed to have been with my used "with my approval" according to the invoice but no one mentioned anything about it prior to the service. One wonders what they would have used & its cost if I didn't approve.

B200 Turbo,

I think that the car monitors the break pad thickness and a light will come on when they need to be replaced.

I sure hope my pad last more than 25,000 km or so - I won't be pleased if they keep needing replacement at that sort of interval...

Jeff,

I am not sure if the technician does not preset next service depending how he evaluate the car parts or maybe the car system evaluate itself. My car still does not show any brake pads service needed but if I compare to Volvo I had previous it was just eating brake pads I had them both changed at 22000km rear and front mercedes should have brake pads included in Canada in warranty same like wipers it is 2 years and 40000 kms.
Maybe because I have CVT something else has to be done? Really hard to say.

I know for sure that when I got the car brand new it was showing service B in about 20000km and than depending on driving it was slowing prolonging the interval to over 27000kms like I said I had it done at 25000kms.

For kdbcom I got 5w-30 mobil 1 the whole service A cost me around 300 Cad tax included 1.5 hour labour. Just to explain if I go the store buy the 6 litres of MObil 1 5W-30 it will cost me 36 Cad plus tax.

300 Canadian dollars is just under £ 130 at current exchange rate which means our service over here is about double the amount you pay ( I'm emigrating)

And Yuna got his for nothing

Somethings wrong here shouldn't there be a common pricing policy ? or is it just another case of ripping the Brits off !
