Yes after 11 months the promised welcome pack has finally arrived.
A beautifully packaged piece of hype.
To quote from the enclosed book One More Detail.
" The Mercedes-Benz star is more than just a badge. It's a promise of quality and technological excellence " and then " the best or nothing "
They must be either talking of the quality of the badge itself or my vehicle has been made by a different manufacturer using the same name as Mercedes because my B class does not fit in with any of their quoted statements.
It's a pity that the same degree of quality that went into the welcome pack was not built into the cars.
I don't know if you received your packages earlier but if not what a crazy time to send them out at the busiest postal time of the year.
I also received this tribute to the copy writers art, what a waste of money ,any ideas what to do with the folder ?
Pity they did not send a gift voucher or discount ticket that would have been more use and possibly cost them less.
Haven't had time to run the CD possibly there are offers on that
What a pity they didn't send out with this pack something useful like a (plastic credit card sized) list of recovery numbers for emergency use that you could keep in your wallet. Other manufacturers seem to supply these.
I know these numbers are in the service book but in theory you should not keep this book in the car in case it gets stolen. ( a newish car without the service manual is always suspect and dealers don't give out replacements without full proof of ownership.)
I received a card from my local dealer about a week ago saying "Congratulations on the first anniversary of owning a C-Class." Funny thing is, that was regarding a car that I bought 2 years ago, and sold about a month ago. Oh well, it put a smile on my face. It's the thought that counts.
