I just took delivery of my B200T at the beginning of April. I notice when I have it on heat and select directing air to the floor the air still comes out from the dash vents instead of the floor. Is this normal?
I have no idea about the logic - but I was told the same thing - in my case it was when I wanted defrost - to get max air to the defroster you have to close all the mid dash vents & crank everything else all the way to the right - 7 tasks - just for defrost
Which in Canadian winters is a royal pain in the arse !
Does anyone know if it is possible to swap out the manual climate control with the auto climate control ?
yes, that's not possible.
The Thermotronic uses motors (actuators) to control the airflow and to open and close vents. The Thermatic system is manual operated.
It's not possible to convert a Thermatic to a Thermotronic.
I have the Thermotronic (automatic) and when I select foot there's no air coming out of any vents except the footwells. Defrosting is just a single touch of a button.
