RE: 1st Defect

My Drivers Side Window switch has also malfunctioned the window auto powers down (one touch) but does not go up in the one touch mode. It will, however, go up if you keep your finger on and hold it in the up position.

Are you sure that is a defect? My A-class does the same thing. It was my understanding that only the versions were all the windows are power controlled had the one touch "going up" mode.... or maybe you have the power controlled for all the windows?

Good question - in Canada - power all round is the only option & one touch up is there

It could also be possible that the window switch needs to be synchronized. With the window all the way up, try pressing the switch just to the first detent (non-auto) in the down position, wait for the window to open all the way, then press it, once again, in the first detent of the up position, and wait till it closes completely. If, after this, both auto functions still will not work, then perhaps something else is wrong.

My windows definately have the auto function

Have tried MBAdam's fix and it now seems to be working ok

Thanks

Seem to remember having a similar problem on my last car (Scenic MK2) but that appeared to sort itself out, maybe that had also got out of sync.

Spoke to soon, tried again today and window still not going up automatically.
Looks like it will have to go back to the dealers.
Pity bacause last time it was booked in for this faulty it started working ok
and I told the dealers not to bother with it, but they did say that they would take a look at it. It must be an intermittent fault.

I have always had that problem. When there is some strange sound or something not working the way it should, the problem always seems to go away upon driving onto the dearler's lot.

I just got my B200 Turbo yesterday and its radio's volume knob wouldnt work (Audio 5). I have to use the steering wheel's volume controls to adjust sound level.

Dealer acknowledged it already but is still a surprise for a brand new car hehe

Btw, is it supposed to be normal for the car to have squeaky sounds when the handbrake is up while car's parked? It sometimes occurs and some friends say that its normal since car is new and I will disappear over time.

Mine sometimes does that also when in gear(mine's auto) and the handbrake is not fully up you get strange squeaky noises.

Have noticed that the handbrake has to be pulled up very high & hard in order to stop the car creeping forward
