Just an update, dealer removed/reinstalled the rear wheels and disc brake assembly and there's no more squeaky sounds anymore. The mechanic in charge said that it would probably disappear in time when the parts settle down.

Radio is still problematic and now, even CD player sometimes dont work.... I will have it serviced thoroughly this weekend...

I have also noticed that the stick on covering that is on the outside of the drivers door (by the door pillar) (on the sports model) is starting to lift off where it goes round the edge of the door.

Another weak spot appears to be with the sports seats. It is impossible to get out of the car without rolling over the raised up seat edges & this seems to be straining the stiching I can see problems occuring here.

Angry

My B first defect. I have no light in the glove compartment anymore .
A few months ago the bulb inside stopped lighting on, but I went to service for other possible problem (a strange noise) and when I told them to look also in the glove box for fixing the light, the light was functioning okay! Now it stopped runing again. Neither while ignition on or car in movement, never! I know there is no great loss, but as an idea, if I wanted to have problems with lights or other stuff, I would have buyed a FIAT not a Mercedes. And since I wanted a Mercedes I want everything to run okay!
17 000KM today.

Another update....

The sticker on the front passenger door is starting to peel off and my local dealer ordered new stickers for me. I think the sticker wasn't placed well causing this problem?

Seeking radio stations on my Audio 5 is working well now. Turns out that my dealer needed to install a newer software for the radio.

Squeaky sound near my car's left rear suspension area started coming back again. I notice this when handbrake is up as before. I will have the car checked again when the stickers arrive.

Everything would have been perfect (especially the B200 Turbo engine!!) but these problems irritates me alot

I used to have a squeaky sound in my car's left rear suspension area when the handbreake was on (A class). It turned out that a "few things" in the handbreak drum needed some oil.

I have had the same problem with the door stick on trim, I am just about to have the drivers door trim replaced for the 4th time!!! and the passenger door for the 1st time. To say I am not impressed would be an understatement.

Had the same issue with the window as well but only twice in 4 months. Otherwise the car is fine and a joy to drive.

You must get it pretty hot down in Oz. Mine only appeared to peel in very hot days over here this summer & whilst I was abroad. Now it is cooler it appears to be staying stuck on, but the dealer is going to change it when he does the "A" service (at just under 18,000 miles) but that is going to cost an arm & a leg.

Had the car brought in to the dealer while I was away for a business trip last week.

Almost all of my problems with the B has been solved except that front passenger window still acts funny occassionally. I have to hold down the window button till it closes. According to the technician, window panels were a bit dirty and they just lubed it a bit but I'm not convinced.

For the guys who had their power windows fixed, what did your dealer tell you ? Was it just some cleaning or does it have to do with window motor or software?

About 10 days ago, I noticed that I cannot start the wipers anymore (I do not have the auto wipers package). Not in 1st speed, neither in 2nd or 3rd speed.
The only possible way I could start the wipers was by the confort wipers function, pressing once the switcher. In this case, the problem was, that the wipers were actioning only once, and than I had to press the switcher again - very annoying in case of a heavy rain! I went to the dealer and they made a diagnosys finding out that the stick has a defect. I guess a contact was not correct inside the stick [all other functions of the stick (rear wiper, cleaning rear window with window liquid, switch between lights and cleaning the windshield, cornering lights) were running OK]. They had this part in their deposit (it's fitting the C class also) and they mounted it all for free - because of the guarantee. All these a few KM before 25 000.
