thats pretty cool how they have dealers like that. A once stop place. Very cool.

I live in Romania in a city named Iasi, and here we have more than one dealer which sells several brands.
For example there is one which has in its showrooms and sells MB's, Smart and also Jeep, Chrysler, Ford, Mazda, Land Rover, Mitsubishi, Hyundai etc. They have the showroom located near downtown, and another showroom and halls of service for repairing in uptown.
So there are several from you can buy more than more brand, you have several brand and types in one place.

do these cars share any of their underpinnings with the calibre/pt cruiser?

it looks shockingly like a pt cruiser from the front and rear 3/4 angles! almost like theyre just restyled versions f the same car?

I don't think so - although there may be some hardware that is shared. The platform itself has a double "sandwich" floor, so it is pretty high.

I can't imagine that the platform would be flexible enough to do that. But hey ! who am I to say for sure!
