Front Windshield & northern weather !

One note about the front windshield on the B -

I guess it is a positive as well as a negative - the windshield is inset very deeply in the A pillar - the positive about it is that if you are like me & like to keep your drivers side window open/partially open most of the time ( I do unless it is raining *very* hard) you won't get water coming in the side window

The downside - with 24 cm of snow we just had - the windshield wipers can't really push it off the side of the car - takes a little more effort to keep clean..

cheers :-)

I can't say that I've ever been bothered by deep snow up where I am. I always start with the windshield (and all other glass) perfectly clean.
I feel, as some of you do, that the shape of the drip rails will cause a build-up of snow. It just hasn't been a problem.
Deep wet snow 'should' be a problem.

Sending max heat to the windshield should melt most of the fresh falling snow before it can accumulate. The heater is great!
And on the rare occasion that a huge dump of heavy wet snow is happening while your driving then stop and clear it off!! Cheers and think snow.

Right now we have 8 cm of snow on the ground and more coming tonight!

Hey, Just to comment on the full heat to the front windshield, when I place my selector knob on the windshield defrost I still get a lot of air coming out the the front vents, the only way to get full power on the windshield is to close all the front vents and force it out the top. Anyone else have this happenning to them? Thanks,

Anthony

Never mind that last post. I see it was touched on in the Climate Control thread.
