First you will want to check fuses; if they are OK, try disconnecting your battery for about a minute, then reconnect. If those steps don't work then go to the DIY & FAQ stickies (in the blue backgrounded potion at the top of the first page of the forum). One of them addresses Audio; it has a link to procedures for troubleshooting a No Audio problem.
If you disconnect the battery (your car powers the electronics through the large battery under the hood; you will not have one in the trunk), you may or may not need to reset some items like seat positions, possibly some warning lights. If so, see RESETS - Things to Try... in the DIY & FAQ General Info section.
We keep helping these new users that only have a single post on here and then they disappear after they get answers.
Perhaps we should tell them to introduce themselves before we even try anything. It's like you put so much effort into writing a bunch of stuff trying to help someone and they just leave and don't even care to say thank you.
Just today I looked at some old posts from the previous weeks and ran in at least 4 new users with only a single post asking for help.
I think you took my comment out of contexts.
It had nothing to do with not wanting to help you but that we had no idea what the outcome was.
Not necessarily towards you in particular, but mainly with members that signup on here for help , post one time and never come back to even say thank you or give an outcome to their fix/progress.
It is sad because I come on here sometimes after a couple of weeks and see members like Skylaw replying with a long list of fixes on someone's 1st post and that person never even bothers to come back on the thread again.
You see that a few times.. then you start to realize people who want to help won't even try anymore because why bother.
There is no attitude. Simply I am new to this and really don't know the rules of engagement. What I did do, is take the amp and satellite radio module out of the trunk and ship it to FL for repair. At a cost far lower then replacing the items at the dealer. I'm waiting for them to be returned and will let you know how it works out.
Thanks, Jallen7773 - the folks in Florida (M & B?) have favorable commentary from members.
