Try this. Get a thin screw driver. Insert the screw driver (Not the tip as if you're tightening something, the actual metal part) to hinge on the trunk lid right where the hook from the bottom part is suppose to connect.
Use the screw driver as if it's part of the hook. You should be able to push the hinge and lock it. If it locks with the screw driver hooked, just press the trunk button and it will release it.
I hope that made sense.
Mine has done that a few times because of a bad battery as well which I finally got to replace.
