The trunk battery is behind the passengers seat to the right of the trunk but you will have to remove all the trim to get to it. To reset the fault codes is normally done with a code reader but you may try disconnecting both batteries for half a hour.

Be gentle with the car and don't call it a truck. The rear battery is behind the centre panel at the trunk.
You should figure out the reason for the check engine light first, could be as simple as a loose fuel tank cap but it could be something more serious too and could harm your engine.
Edited: I must have missed Eric's reply, perhaps I was searching for the photo too long and his response was not there when I started writing mine, Eric already covered the topic.

wow. i didnt know that the battery was placed right up against the rear of the right rear passenger seat. in the 140 its in the trunk at the far right rear corner of the car. i wonder how much emf the battery emits when the car is on... not good.

Thanks All I'm just going to take it to Mercedes service it's still under warrinty I called them last night , thanks for all the help .. dam the rear battery looks like it's in a unsafe place ! my 99 and 2000 s class was in the side or the trunk . I don't like this My kids sit right there !!
The W210 and some other models have the battery below the rear seat bench. The battery is not dangerous, specifically if nothing hits it. Below the rear seat bench or behind the seat it would be safe in an accident.
EMF from the battery? Think of the wiring from the front to the rear, even that is nothing compared to all the electronics in the car and even all that can be taken care of.
I would complain about the battery service, it would be easier to reach if it was below the rear seat or at the trunk floor. Then again, service like the topic of the thread should not be needed often.
update ! I think it was the fuel cap redone it ,,drove the car to autozone to check the codes theres no codes now the light whent off & the rear battery is holding a charge ? I hope this fixes my car ,,,,I live 80 miles from the Mercedes service center I din't want to drive it there with a light on ,,,,Thanks to all of You ,For Your HELP!!
