How old are the S550 drivers?
Trying to decide between a 7 series and a S550. From my personal observation, I have seen many young drivers (20's to 40's) in BMW 7 series, but I feel S550 age group are much higher at 40 - 60 years old.

Do we need another thread about this upcoming mid-life-crisis purchase? You seem to be overly concerned about your image when it comes to the S class. Who cares how old the 'average' driver is? If you like the car, then get it!

Why not? That's what this forum is for, no? ha ha
I already went through one when I got the Vette & Porsche 911 in '01. Besides, ones going through so-called crises buy fast sports cars, not 4 door sedans. And I already got another 911 a few weeks ago, and so no this will not be "one-of those" purchase.
So if this topic was already discussed, what are the age groups? Can you give me Cliff's version?

I'm very suprised that you aren't looking at Chrysler's signature mid-life-crisis mobile...............the Chrysler Sebring. Nothing says quality like a Sebring! You just know that you have 'made it' in life if you can get into one of these wonderful cars. Did you know that inspiration comes standard on their fine high line automobiles? It's not even an option!!
S550's are owned/leased by younger new money types, then also by older ex-executives who are too cheap to buy an S600/63/65, but who could easily afford one (I know a couple people like this).
I'm telling you that a CL550 would be the perfect match for you. It's the best looking CL since the 560SEC. It would give you 2 doors (but room for 4 full sized adults and golf clubs), S class luxury, lots of speed and amazing style.
