For some odd reason I would suggest all to look at this from another perspective. How many do you know driving an S-class at the age of 80 or above (you may well assume me belonging to that group but it isn't exactly right). At least at my place I know a lot more W211 owners at above 80 than S-class owners. So is it that E-class is more for old people?

I guess you all have realised that "old" is pretty relative, usually it means an age a bit higher than your own.

At least it's not a "geezer-pleaser" like the Toyota Avalon for example (based on Toyota's demographic info).

The Grand Marquis is much more of a geezer car then the Avalon.

True. But it's out of production like the Imperial, LTD, etc. And most of the people that bought them are dead.

How old are the S550 drivers?
Well I'm 38 years old and bough my S Class when I was 37. I know a lot of young S Class owners. Whether you go with the 7 Series or the S Class, you can't go wrong there. I drove them both before buying my car. I have to say that I do like the Mercedes Benz better.

Off topic but I've never heard about an Elegance package for the S-class, where can you get one and what does it consist of?
