22 years old, selling the euro at 1.7 worked out for me Black 07 S550. I kind of feel ridiculous driving it around but I adore the panoramic roof and can fit as many people as I could throw in my old denali.
I just turned 28, purchased a 2007 s550 last week. amazing car definitely gets alot of attention.
It's artic white with the pano roof, amg sport package, cashmere interior, p2 package, night vision, keyless go, ipod. etc.
I will probably tint the windows, and will look into these 22 inch MB alloy rims with a lip I saw at a local MB dealership. Otherwise its still hot just the way it is, doesnt need to be ghettoized
I would say that I wouldn't fully base your results on this thread, because, in reality, who mostly uses the internet, and more specifically, car forums. Generally (Yes, there are plenty who do not fit this demographic), younger males, probably ages 20-30 or so. But you probably already know that.
Anyways, I would go for the W221 in heartbeat. I would generally focus on the merits of the actual car than thoes other blokes driving it. And when you take in the merits of the W221 versus the Bimmer E65/66, you will probably find out which car is better. Also, according to most Automotive Pundits of punditry, the W221 is the winner, as long as there aren't any Maserati Quattroportes lurking nearby, because, darn, that's just an amazing automobile.
However, if you factor in the next 7er into the mix, its a whole new ballgame.

Mine isn't paid off, my note is under 5%, my family isn't rich, I just work my ass off and don't have a wife, ex-wife, alimony, children, or a drug habit to keep my lunacy in check.
I know hard work and clean living is not the norm these days... I thank my wonderful deceased grandparents that were 1st generation Italian Americans, worked night shifts building airplanes and road projects, for showing me how sweat equity can pay dividends.
i think im going through a midlife crisis at age 18. I would MUCH rather have an S550 or S600 than an SL550. ANY DAY!
My gf's boss actually was selling his 2007 S600 for 20K!! I definitely would have taken out a loan to buy that. no doubt. My dream car at my finger tips. lol but his wife let him keep it. lol sh*t outta luck i guess. maybe in the future! hopefully ill get to drive it at the x-mas party hahaha

Wow, a 2007 S600 for 20K? It would be an understatement if I called that a steal...

20k miles is not the price of the car. Seriously, even if it is difficult to import German made cars from the US, you would not have one of those left in the US if they were selling at that price. At the price I ordered a W204 a while ago I would have been able to buy four of those (excluding transport and conversion costs).
