How hard was the install?

I have been looking to do this on my 07 S550 4Matic AMG... all packages but this one.

Why? For those guys like sunman, miroj, mbenznl, by default nothing is impossible. A different thing if the referred tasks are possible for me and you. I thought the photos already showed well how much work is needed to feed all the cables properly etc. And a factory visit for DAS version coding (SW updates?) would be needed as I don't have star diag at home (but for an enthusiast, DIY for the rest could be fine).

for the camera i believe it works out to be like $1500 installed for the aftermarket solution (camera but no park-assist). if you want to do the factory camera/park assist retrofit its more like $3500 installed.

i havent priced a trunk closer for the S550 but i did one on an R class a few months back and i think it was like $3100. the biggest issue was that there is no harness available (it comes as part of the main vehicle harness) so tehre is no part or part #. a custom harness and connectors had to be fabricated to make the whole thing work. im not sure if it would be the same for the new S class but if your really interested i could find out.

Thanks for the info. I am interested in the factory camera+park assist as Sunman did on his S550. There is supposed to be a seperate wire run from the back camera to a module that plugs into the command at the front of the car. That is what i was told by a service rep.

Already have the trunk closer installed

yes, a 75 ohm video cable needs to be run from the park-assist module in the back to the AGW at the front. fortunately all the parts to do that are readily available. also main connector to the park assist module is not present if you didnt order it and has to be built as well.
