A friend of mine has an AUDI S4 and put on different rims and has had a lot of problems due to the change. Our mechanic (we go to the same one) told him that Audi engineered the car to run perfectly on the stock rims and even the slightest change can throw everything off.... He was very mad at me for changing my stock 16" (on the 500SEL) to 18" AMG Monoblocks for the same reason... But like MGcorp said, It really comes down to personal choice.

I'm pretty sure I want to go with the LE1's at the top of page 2, but in a 20 inch rim.
I would like to have a deeper dish on the rear if I can.
I've tried to have local tire shops in my town find me wheels for the car, the problem is the HUGE brake calipers that are in the way, so make sure the calipers WILL NOT get in the way of the rim.
Let me know recommended tire size, brand etc... Please give me a price shipped to my home as well.

Dont worry about the calipers..... Its no prob... will do on tues!!
Dante: If the S4 is a Quattro (AWD) then you have to be careful... Theres a Transfer case involved and alot of other componets that arent "wheel friendly".. But a regular rear wheel drive car is pretty easy to put a set of wheels on...

We just got our '04 S55. Came with 20's which I took off and put the stock AMG 18's back on. Don't know about the 20's the jury is still out. Leaning towards the stock look. Maybe I am older than the average guy on this site?

For the W220, 19" is probably the largest I would go.
The new W221 has larger wheel wells (I think) and for sure larger fender "flares." Anything smaller than 18" or 19" makes the S seem naked.
