Bluetooth Compatible Phones

No not the same questions

Just wanted to add to see what phones everyone is able to use with the MHI Bluetooth Adapter. Perhaps this thread will help a bit with the compatibility questions.

So far I was able to use

US - Cingular Wireless

Samsung T619 - Contacts and phone
Nokia 8801 - Contacts and phone

I have a few other phones I might try, so hopefuly they work.

Something I found strange when pairing the phone was that I started pairing and testing the MHI Adapter in the afternoon. Everything paired fine with the Samsung T619, but was unable to synchronize the contacts. I attempted to enter in [0000] from inside the cars keypad. When the phone disconnected I thought nothing of it, but when I paired another T619 the contacts suddenly appeared after a minute or two.

I found this rather strange to be happening so I tried a Nokia 8801, which also worked fine. I finally switched to the first Samsung T619(I actually spent about an hour trying), which then worked rather nicely. One change in the name list was that I accessed the names from the telephone menu at the top instead of the [Names] option.

Strange..

btw..I purchased the unit from my local dealer for 378.00. The parts guy said it was returnable if my phone wasn't compatible with the MHI Adapter.

I updated my Treo S550 software to 1.04 and now every thing works perfectly using the bluetooth puck. Download Treo updates from [url=http://www.palmone.com]

Mogboy - Contact AWS at Welcome to AWS for Mercedes-Benz, or do a search - other folks have posted the part number. it is important whether you want a U.S (MHI), European (UHI), a V60 puck, or a RAZR V3-specific cradle and Bluetoooth combination.

A good deal of part numbers here, I guess the latest European ones missing but should not be an issue for you:

For the UHI version one should look here for a full list of SAP capable phones.

Have you had any problems with decreased signal strength inside the s550? I have a 2007 S550 with bluetooth and razr phone. I have a definite decreased signal strength as compared with my other auto. I believe it may be related to the infrared glass in the car blocking the signal. In areas of low signal I get no service. Is there a Mercedes fix or a booster to help this problem? I hate to go to cradle and loose the versility of the bluetooth.

You need more coverage, the glass cuts signal and you dont want a cradle. No dice.

I just got the Razor cradle. It's Bluetooth capable and you have the option of docking the phone. It seems to work fine but yet again I just installed it about an hour ago!!!
