Comand Unlock DVD / TV while moving ? - Benzworld.org

Hi folks,

I've just receive the brand new S 320 cdi L and the car is just amazing !
I love it but I still prefer the W220 exterior.
The Comand system is just perfect : Good GPS, DVD video, TV Digital & Analog, DVD-MP3 !!!

I was asking myself if there is a way to bypass the protection so the passengers on the back seats could watch DVD while the car is moving.

I do understand that for security reasons, they forbid it so the driver could not put him and the others in danger but I think that in that way they should also cut off the Navigation display MAP as finding a street and looking at the screen could be also very dangerous ... I so repeat it's only for the passengers.

It appears that for previous version of COMAND APS, there was a special keys to be press at same time and it allow to unhide a hidden menu "Driver Distraction" to unlock this feature.

I would be very gratefull if someone can help me ^^

Does that device work in the US models of the W221 S550??? I would love to figure out a way to unlock the DVD/TV functions on the S550, short of replacing it with a EURO COMAND, which would be expensive from what I hear.
