Any pictures of a car with a basalt gray/black interior

Hi, I should be able to decide between the basalt gray/dark basalt gray interior against the basalt gray/black one for a car with andorite grey exterior. I would be happy to see some pictures of both (the grey/dark grey I’ve seen live in a car) and owner’s opinions would be welcome (even if this is very much a matter of taste).

MB’s priority recommendation for andorite gray is black/black. I find it making the car very, very dark. I have an E W211 with black interior at the moment but it is a lot lighter, also because it has “half leather seats with some grey in the fabric part of the seats. The grey/dark grey and grey/black options are considered “possible and I wonder why MB feels black/black better for andorite gray? I guess there is less contrast between the exterior and the interior, making the car look a bit dull.

The gray/black option would add contrast but I feel the difference between the grey and the black parts a bit too strong (while perhaps the dark gray is not exactly as much darker than the grey as I would prefer).

PS. Big thanks to Nevadajack for all the andorite gray photos. Amongst other things (after all, wanted to have different colour from my current for the new car), those made me change from cubanite silver to andorite grey exterior.

On other models I have avoided the all black interiors since in my opinion they make the interiors look smaller than they really are. On the S I suppose that is less of an issue. I do note though that on dealer spec Mercedes regardless of model you see 80 percent black interiors. With that being the case, having an all black interior diminishes the uniqueness of the car IMHO.

RE: Any pictures of a car with a basalt gray/black interior

In the US we only have three choices...Black/Black, Grey/Dark Grey and Sahara/Cashmier.

I have seen the Black/Black and do not care for it either...no contrast and really does nothing for the interior. However, there are a lot of people who really like a solid black interior and as said...it all comes down to personal preference.

I chose the Grey/Dark Grey...it is darker than the old Ash but still lightens the interior and provides a nice blend with the Burl Walnut. I don't think the Beige combo is good with a grey car.

RE: Any pictures of a car with a basalt grey/black interior

Obviously not all interior/exterior colour options are the same in Europe and the US.

The andorite grey exterior colour with code 370 seems to be the same for both market areas as well as the grey/dark grey or basalt grey/dark basalt grey interior option with code 208/508/808.

In Europe we also have the option sahara beige/black as well as the basalt grey/black option.

My perception is that the dark grey parts differ more from the grey parts (are darker) in the pictures compared to the live difference. Perhaps this is just because of a limited time I spent with a car with a 208 interior.

Perhaps I have to postpone my decision until I get a chance to see the basalt gray/black live in a car.

The picture from jumpy I guess is grey/black, it should have black all the way for the "lower interior", the picture above looks like the black was "only dark grey" but then again the roof linings seem black and this should only appear in the grey/black interior option.

It is amazing how black looks grey in some photos while grey looks almost black in some others.

Another grey/black figure attached, as I found somewhere else.

Is there more than one option for the steering wheel or does it look better in real life?

I'm sorry but it seems a nice car but that steering wheel just looks like the controls of a 747 mated with a playstaion controler.
