I was wondering how high insurance premiums would be for this car in NY,NY. I called ALLSTATE and they need a vin to go by...one sample VIN I obtained was WDDNG71X77A014106...does anyone one know if this VIN accurately describes a W221?
RE: VIN number and Insurance premium for the 07' S550
Call some other insurance companies for quotes without using a VIN. They use the VIN to make sure you are quoting them the correct model number for you car.

where did you get this VIN from? Carfax has this VIN in their computer, but it doesn't even tell what kind of car it is.

vin obtained from someone who ordered the car...this was the vin he gave me././/.
this vin probably describes a w221, but i think since the car has not been imported into the U.S. yet, the DMW doesn't have any records, and carfax gets their records from the DMV.
Maybe you should try getting the VIN number from a demo car at the dealership.
