Anybody have prices on the new S550 - Benzworld.org

I am trying to order a new S550....Premium 111 package...AMG Sport and Rear Seat Package..along with the wood/leather steering wheel and the power slide window sunblinds. I am having trouble getting a price on this car..has anybody ordered one and gotten a price.

there is still no official price for America. You should expect around 100K, for an s550.

The article in Car and Driver says its $89,000 which is cheaper than the outgoing S500.

Yeah thats what I've heard too for a base price...$89,000. I guess its the option packages that the dealers cannot price. Not sure how to order a car if you're not sure what its going to cost...whats to stop dealers from tacking on whatever they want to the cost of the car if the buyer was never told a price. Maybe thats just me.

no. it's not just you. i mean, you can't buy a car and not know what it costs. Although it says 89K, they could end up charging you 100K. Where are you supposed to get the extra 11 grand from? I agree with you completely.

No way it can start at $89,000. Base price for Germany is already 89,000 EURO. And the new S is slightly more expensive than the W220 as base version.

Well I went yesterday to three Mercedes dealers and drove this car and also went over the options. All three quoted me the base price at or around $89,000. Now maybe they were giving me a line...thats whats so frustrating trying to get this car ordered. They all want to get me to order it and "get on the list" without a final price...not sure I trust them that much....LOL!!!

And that price I wrote down was for the short version. Long S500 starts with 95,000 EURO in Germany.

wow. thats a lot for a longer version of the s class. that is at least 100k with all the currency conversion. Don't they only sell the long wheelbase in america?
