Anybody have prices on the new S550

I was quoted $84,500 for the base price but no option pricing yet. This was yesterday.

yea, but realisticly, you wont pay that much. Because they have: tax and liscencing, and destination fee, and so on...

yea thats true. but if you "build your mercedes" on mbusa, they usually include the tax, licensing, and destination fees. But they wont let you build your own w221 on mbusa. Not yet....

I don't think it includes tax as taxes are different for every state.

How could it be cheaper than Germany as you import these car from there?? Don't you have any taxes on imported cars??

Base price in Germany is 89euros for short base..long base version is the only option for the States...which is $85,400. The enrtry level price for the S550 is a bit lower than S500 in previous years..but the must have basic options bring it up to a 6 digit range anyway..
Premium 1 is 1450
Premium 2 is 2850
P3 estimated at 5500-6500. Apparently there is a shortage with the IRcameras, so P3 is delayed..as a matter of fact P2 (according to memo to MB dealers as of this morning) is also delayed..P1 is all you can order now..this changes daily though.

thats pretty funny, because you get more horsepower, and 5 more liters than the previous s class.

yea, thats true. Maybe they are building the 221 very cheaply or something. They couldn't be giving you all this stuff for free.
