MB changed the name from S500 to S550 at the last minute, who knows why?? I guess it is another case of "my engine is bigger than yours..." and my engine has more horsepower than yours thing.
no, it is because the engine now has 5.5 liters rather than 5.0, but i still don't know if they are going to sell an s500 in America. But they have an S500, which they sell, in Europe.
The S500 in europe is the 5.5 litre V8. There is only one 500 engine as of now-500 and 550 are the exact same car. If they change the emblem to 550 when they import the car to the U.S. that will be so stupid!

yea. that is completely useless. So are they going to have an s55 AMG, or just an s65 AMG?
