I hate this. BELIEVE ME, I HATE THIS. However, I WILL fall on my sword. While I am NOT in love with the W221, I had my first real world, real time, IN MOTION experience with a W221 the other day. I was walking across a parking lot to a store, and low and behold, here comes my first W221 that I've seen outside of the Benz dealer. It was in silver, and to my surprize, this thing looked like a BENZ. I mean, "stopped me in my tracks and stared" BENZ. The 19 inch fin wheels probably sealed it. Don't know if the smaller stocks would have had that same effect. Don't let it besaid I can't come before you as a man, and admit at least partial wrongness.

maybe this is just me, but i think that the W221 looks horrible in anything smaller than 19 inch wheels.

i'm just waiting for that S65 to come out, then i'm going to sell everything i own, including my soul, and buy one of those bad boys

Whoa. Like I said, it still ain't no love affair. The above statement convienently omits the 1st gen Ford Focus, that was out well before the W221. You own post pic bears this out.

The benz dealer here will start selling this model next month(May). I saw one by the way in my town. It's used by the Managing director of the Shell oil company.

I was like Whoa!! W221 S350...

Hey, guys, i agree that the W221 S looks fab on big rims. Just like this one which i think is the best wheels i have seen on the new S besides the Lorinsers, Brabuses, Carllsons lol

Are you indicating that MB designers "copied" their styling from a Ford Focus...LOL

The design for the new S was probably in the works before the Ford Focus was even conceived. I note in the Focus ads they feature their analog clock...do you think MB also copied that? The only commonality in the two cars is that they have 4 wheels...:-)

I also hated the flares but once I sat in the S550 and test drove it the wheel flare disappeared and I was sold. You will change you mind just like I did....join the flare generation....:-)

Fresh to death

Hey guys, although i like all the tuning companys wheels aswell, for example Brabus, Carllson and so on, i think that these wheels shown at the DUB L.A custom car show are awesome. Does anyone know the brend of the rims on the passenger side? Thanks
