Article about w221 night assist

here is a two page article about night assist that i found in a german magazine.

The only problem is that it is in German. Does anyone know german, and can they tell us what this article says, because european magazines sometimes give more information about certain cars than American Magazines do. Especially since the w221 is already out in Europe.

Yes, it is a demo vehicle. It has a couple minor changes that Im told will change when the actual production vehicles arrive.

Hi, anybody with experience about night assist, would you really recommend it. Just had a car for a test drive and to me the camera view is pretty good, but I find it difficult to make use of the view while driving. At north, we have dark winters where I thought the night assist could be useful.

This accessory would cost me 3280 euros (because of the local car tax). I have a car in order with the night assist included but after the test drive I started hesitating, perhaps I should take some other extras instead.

I'm on low budget, relatively, don't suggest "all extras" (my current list for an S320CDI lang are roughly: 223, 228, 233, 249, 275, 386, 414, 481, 527, 540, 600, 610, 615, 872, 873, 875, 883, most of those are standard locally).

the camera view is difficult to make use of the view while driving.

although i have not test driven it, i also think that it could be difficult to use, because you have to look down, and below the dashboard.

It would be cool if they had a heads up display, Kinda like the night assist on some cadillacs, where it shows it right on the windshield.
