They keep calling it an S500 instead of S550. Which is right?

And as I don't care for speed thrills, I'd rather wait for the S450. What decontenting is there for that model do you think? Anyone? I hate having to sacrifice features just to get a more efficient powerplant..

Notice article also says that double-paned glass is back.

The S550 will be its name as it ships to North America, but at the time of most reviews Mercedes had still planned to call it the S500 in North America.

I'm so gonna get me one. Unless I get an '07 CL instead. Both look wicked from the outside, and I'm even getting over my distaste for the S dash. I wonder if the infrared display will be avail on the S450. I wonder if they'll be reliable... Hmmmm.. I wonder what they'll allow me for my '06 E350 as a trade-in...
