Awwwww man, you are making me love the S even more. I love that computer generated speedometer. How comfortable was it at that speed compared to the W220. Nice pictures. And what is that thing behind the grill?

thats the radar sensor for the "distonic" thats behind this plastic thing

also E class and all other models with "distronic" have this plastic to protect the radar sensor.

Hmmm, I don't like it. Should have made the Distronic radar in the bumper like the 7-Series. So how long did it take you to read the manual?

i didn read a single page. it was "only" a test drive, so...
i`m currenty driving a e320cdi with all extras so i know the gimmicks like distronic, keyless go. using the new comand is simple but it no longer "one klick away". for many functions, you now have to browse through a menu. old S or my E have buttons to access the functions directly. for me, it takes to long. but he is fast, very fast, nice mateirials, looks good and is really a dream-car

Can actually I order an W221 with NO radar thing and thus without that squarish plastic at the front?

Distronic is an option, I think. May be standard in some places and some models.
