I am going to be purchasing a used 2000-2002 s430 this week. What type of things should I look out for, and what options should I look for.

HI There,

Firstly, I would highly suggest you get an 01 S430 instead of the 2000. Since the 2000 model year was the first for the new S Class, there were some problems which were fixed for the 01 model year.

Look for Xenon Lights, and maybe even a car phone. Very handy to have the voice activated stuff in the car.

My S430 has many wonderful options such as ventilated mulitcontour seats and the special nappa leather upholstery which are very nice to have. Don't miss out the xenon headlights- they are a must. And opt for an 01 or 02.

thanks guys i ended up with a 2000 s500 black opal with all options except parktronic.
