I never saw the actual thing before but i was told that the dealer change the rod for him.<br>
The rod is a original part from MB. It will not spoil the suspension.... but if you have the ABC suspension....that i donn know...<br>
ASk your dealer about lowering the car....<br>
It can reached about 2 or 3 in lower... didn't really measure...<br>

Andrew, could you please ask your friend how much is that cost and which dealer ?<br>
The mercedes dealer in sydney said that they can't lower the S-class.<br>
