Hello everyone ,
I am going to start another ABC valve block thread lol. I know there is already many many threads about it and i have searched them all.
So here is my issue
I recently rebuild my front valve block because the car would sag after sitting for a bit especially on a hot day. I did not replace the white teflon rings because the kit that i bought : ABC plumbing block plumbing seal o ring kit | eBay

The kit came with only black rubber seals and i was not sure if its a good idea of changing the teflon rings to the black rubber ring, so i only changed the black rubber ones.

The car still sags , quick on the front and slower in the back.
I found another kit from Britain :
SUPPORTING RING REBUILD KIT FOR ABC VALVE BLOCK S W220 CL C215 SL R230 SEALS | eBay

This kit come with teflon rings.

My question is do you guys that if i change the teflon rings with the black rubber rings that i still have from the first kit will solve my problem, or should i just go ahead and buy the teflon set from Britain.

Has anyone had success with changing the teflon rings to rubber ring , the ones from the first link above.

I have done a filter change, but not a flush.

I am doing a flush tomorrow , due to a bursted line, so i have to put in new fluid anyways.
Any feedback is appreciated.

Hi,

His Ad says it all I quote :-

BEST SOLUTION FOR YOUR ABC VALVE BLOCK / NO PROBLEMATIC UNIVERSAL BLACK RUBBER SQUARE RINGS WHICH ARE NOT SUPPORTING RINGS IN FACT!

THIS ARE PTFE TEFLON RINGS MADE BY 0,01MM ACCURACY TO FIT ABC VALVE BLOCK BORING. PLEASE CHECK PHOTOS HOW ACCURATE THEY ARE!
WILL PROVIDE BEST PERFORMANCE TOGETHER WITH SEAL KIT ! NO COMPROMISES

THESE WAS DEVELOPED BY CAR HYDRAULIC SPECIALIST AND CUSTOM MADE BECAUSE FITTING THE UNIVERSAL RUBBER SQUARE CUT RINGS SHARED AS EXCHANGE ON THE INTERNET WAS PROBLEMATIC AND NOT IDEAL DIMENSIONS.

IF YOU WANT BEST PERFORMANCE FROM YOUR abc VALVE FIT TEFLON SUPPORTING RINGS/ TESTED AND WORKING LIKE A CHARM FOR MANY YEARS BEFORE RELEASING ON EBAY.
CHECK OTHER LISTING FOR O-RING SEAL KIT.

I'm surprised you didn't fit the square cut rings in the Kit you got, they will work in a scrupulously clean un marked block, but teflon rings are better :wink

Regular fluid and filter changes and adding this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lubeguard...477516?hash=item4401c5350c:g:0nkAAOSwSypY83JY is THE Best insurance against this type of problem :wink

Awesome! Bookmarked it. Rebuilt my valve blocks last year - so far, so good. But, I used regular nitrile rings from my local hydraulic shop.

One of the white teflon rings was broken on a solenoid in my case. I simply put three of the same size o-rings on that part of the solenoid and reinstalled. Everything got a bit of CHF-11s fluid to lubricate prior to reassembly. That one went back in as easily as the rest, and so far, no leaks.

Are you recommending this Transmission additive to be mixed with fresh MB/pentosin ABC oil? I'm curious why.

I have to say I'm Always bit Skeptical when it comes to additives… especially with factory recommended fluids. Snake oil syndrome I guess. But if there is a merit to this one specifically, please explain. Your experience is much more valuable than any prejudice I might have towards "snake oil".:)

Stuff like Dr Tranny's Instant Shudder Fix etc etc etc is Snake Oil, and I'm old skool like you regarding Snake Oils ;)

Lubegard is exactly that, (a Lubricant Guard), it helps the existing Oil.
It is very good stuff, used it for years both in Transmissions and also ABC / PAS Systems :)

It will mix perfectly with the Pentosin and does help to keep Valves etc clean and free, helps seals stay soft and well lubed, over and above the properties / additives already in the Pentosin ;)
