I have a 2004 500S 4 matic. Now that the cold weather is back I am using the heat again. I have found that heat stops working after about 30 minutes. It worked fine last winter. Of note both the temperature control module (dash) and the interior light (containing temperature sensors) were replaced within the past 18 months.
Does it stop blowing air or blows cold air after a while, i would assume that when you turn the car off and then back on it works sometimes and you get heat again. I think you might have a bad heat control valve. For the genuine mercedes parts it like 65 bucks. Before mine when out i had the same issue and where the climate control did not respond fast or at all. I always had great heat and then would lose it randomly
Thanks for the message. Stops blowing altogether. And yes, work fine after the car is off for a few minutes. Is the heat control valve difficult to replace?
