Hello Benz Collegues,

My case:

I am the proud owner of a S500.
Recently replaced the shocks front and back because of the much talked about air leakage. For a few weeks no problems with the struts. This week we came back to the car and we saw the back was down.
The front works fine, car pumps itself up, even to the higher level if requested.
Back stays low, not even an attempt to lift itself.
No airleakage, no hissing, airpump in the front only works when the front needs lifting.

Tried draining al the schocks from air, no response (front does pump up again after drainage)
Took off battery pole, no effect.
Jacked the back of the car a bit up (maybe to initiate level-device) no effect.

Would really appriciate tips/advice!

Kind regards from the Caribbean.

The "link" that harwinder is discussing is part of the rear ride height sensor. The car has a ride height sensor on each front suspension, but on one for the rear. If the sensor is physically disconnected and telling the computer that the car is level, the computer will not pressurize the rear struts.
