Electricity in a MB. What is the correct process to remove and replace a electronic module, SAM, on W220 and other MB's? Since the connectors may be powered ( I do not know if there is a definite answer) does a battery need to be disconnected for this change? I do not know of a 2nd battery on the W220... but they certainly do on a number of other MB lines. Would like to know how to handle them.

I have heard and seen results when battery is disconnected -> and then the required "reset and re-learn for BAS, ESC, AC, ABS, ETC, ESM, window, sunroof, s, XYZ, and all other systems after power is removed and memory of the device is effected.

What is the best plan and the steps to handle this. (some modules are $$)

Thank you to this group.
