Am replacing the entire side view mirror assembly on the driver side. Wife backed out of the garage too fast and at the wrong angle (several months ago) and cracked the housing and broke several internal components, necessitating complete replacement. Have searched for a DIY procedure on this but have come up short. Everything posted either deals with replacing the fascia or the LED blinker. Thanks in advance.

Installed successfully today -- works great. And the bonus is... the assembly came with a new mirror gasket. Some unexpected challenges in the install but was able to navigate those. You have to fight like crazy to get the wiring harness connectors free (two of them).
