I'm curious. Are you having the repairs done, or will the buyer be paying for the repairs? Did you ever think of buying an extended warranty for that car? I don't know if one is available for an S600.

I feel your pain. Have you checked with any Indie re repair costs? Why a new Power Steering pump? These guys tried to rip me off for more than $3600 of front end work when the problem was a broken belt in the front tire.

My advice - pay them for their time to date and have it towed somewhere else. When you shake hands with them count your fingers after. Good luck

Man oh man! I see why I kept my W126. At the above prices I would probably faint if someone quoted me those kinds of prices for repair work. Good luck!

I was going to go for either a W220 or W221 series and I have decided to leave that idea alone after reading about the horror stories about the air suspension and other electronics. Besides I still have my W126 running strong and i've added a 2003 Acura RL and will also be adding a 2006 Lexus LS 430 in a few months.

I will not be departing with my Benzo though!!! A few pictures of the Benzo...Later!
