Hello i'm new to this fourm, my name is Rob 20 but its not my car its the family car, a little history of the car:
We bought the car in late 2007, broke down and we didn't see it for 1 month turned out it was a failed part that was being re manufactured in Germany and awaiting to be delivered to this country, we got the car back and its had a problem when in kickdown it would cut out completely but youd stop put in park and it would go again, different people said it was a different fault and we never wanted to pay Merc prices so left it. In 2009 the rust appeared however as it had a good service history Merc agreed to pay for most of the repainting and we paid for exta bits so it looked top notch. Merc paid for 2x new front wings and painted and the re arches and 3 doors to be painted. We paid for the 4th door and the the boot lid to be done, the bonnet was fine. Came back looking amazing no faults with the car till 2011 when the car was hit by a tractors unlit trailor, the damage was wing mirror smashed, scrathed drivers window and 2 dents in the drivers and rear door, paid for my the farmers insurance after loads of tooing and throwing.
Nothing happened till recently a few months ago the car recived a dent in the drivers wing and the person kindly ran away so we dont know who done it... :crybaby2: But in Novemeber the car broke down it wouldnt pull and was smoking, the car was assisted by the AA and as the car drove we went to Merc in Peterborough and they had it for 3 weeks, they found the ECU was wet and the intake manifold was fault, there is a bar that connects to like a ball and socket which keeps coming off, the orignal bill was 6k and we serious thought about getting shot and buy another car, they came back with a proper quote of 3k and we agreed seeing as in 5 years with had no problems with it. We got it back on the 21st and it goes like a f*cking rocket, really pulls and the kick down breakdown has been fixed we can drive the car without fear, ÂŁ3000 well spend.
Now the main reason im writhing a thread is we would like to know as to the where abouts to the outside temp sensor, we have a new sensor just dont know where the old one is, the dealer showed us a rough whereabouts on a 2007 Merc C class... (Cleaver people) Any advise much welcomed
