2000 S500 passenger seat & window not working
After a bad rain my passenger seat controls, switch illumination, automatic door closer and power window stopped working. I have tested all the fuses and they are all good. I removed the door panel and removed the switch module and opened it and found no signs of water damage. Where else should I look? Any help is appreciated.

If memory serves, there are a few SAM's through out the car. They interface to the data buses so control alot of the equipment. The one I'm thinking of is under the rear seat fuse panel and was subject to numerous claims when the drain in the engine compartment (biggish box in front of the wipers passenger side) plugs with debri and overflows directly into the vehicle. Search the site for other posts related to "flooded" vehicles.

Your profile is not complete which makes it rather hard to give exact answers, so I will have to assume some things. If this is a left hand drive then the rear sam and fuse box is under the rear seat on the passengers side. In the rear footwell you can simply pull out the little floor light lense and behind this is the fuse box. To get to the SAM, Signal Acquistion Module you will have to remove the lower part of the seat and there is a lot of electrical equipment in there also the phone module is in there.

Just in case you're about to wonder :
To get the rear seat out is meant to be quite simeple. I'm about to duck out and try it myself.
I just read there are some push in buttons / tabs on the bottom of the seat on either side. Simple push them in on each side and it's meant to come out quite easily.
I need to get in there in an attempt to find the phone unit that was just mentioned.
Also the VIN in .au cars is inside that rear compartment. Luckily someone at licensing knew that otherwise it would have taken me forever to find the metal plate to prove the papers matched!

Most likely the Door Control Module (DCM) i had the same symptoms after i got my tints done. I check and realize the DCM had gotten wet
This also might help http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w220...side-door.html

I Second the DCM (door control module) being the issue, i had to get it replaced after having my windows tinted also. Same symptoms too the passenger window and seat did nothing.
