I think that you did something wrong. there is no need to pop the glass. If you push the clip, that holds the mirror cover, the whole cover slides out. LED's are mounted on that cover.

It is an easy 5 min job. Too bad I do not have any pics

i think thats for the old shape s class, mine is the new 07-09 side view.

the bulb that sits inside the mirror housing, you remove it, and one end of the connector wire from the new mirror plugs into that empty bulb socket

I was going to start a new topic but I know how irritated some of you get if a search and reply is not conducted on a topic before hand SO have any of you managed to get this done on your W220?
