Right now my car sits outside without anti theft protection because I had to pull out fuse "f51" from fuse box under rear seat to disable it. The reason being is that the alarm suddenly comes on, after I lock the car with remote and leave. It began doing this today when I came home. On the way home I encountered rear door open message for about 2 seconds, which then mysteriously disappeared and I haven't heard of it since.
I'm looking to determine what may trip the alarm off.
Another thing Im looking into is relay "R" under rear seat. It is called Tow - away protection EDW. Now when all of this happened and alarm went off, I sat in the car after locking it to try to see why. I heard distinct clicking sounds coming specifically from relay "R" which I pulled to examine. It shows oxidation signs, which were cleaned and relay was replaced. I never heard that it would click that loud before, but then again, I never sat in the car after locking it with remote.
Could it be the Tow protection relay's fault?
Thank you.
