Hi Sky
Can You Please Post A Picture Of Your Front Plate Bracket
I Also Have A W220 05
Thank You
Harley03joe
OK, here's mine - from front and back (uninstalled). It's what came with the car.
In light of preceding posts, the photos are for illustration only, per harley03joe's request; bracket is not for sale.
I used a nice chrome frame when I had it mounted, and together with the plate it covered the entire front of the bracket, and wrapped around it slightly. I doubt the kind of scratch that impala describes on his would be very noticeable if you did that.

I have subject part from a 2003 W220 (non-AMG front bumper), cleaned and in good condition.
Original equipment with Mercedes part number "A 220 885 1581", "DN 13335 USA", and "Made in Germany" stamped on it.
It is in sturdy black plastic, good as new structurally (no crack or wrapping).
There is a cosmetic 1" surface scratch on the side ... mostly unnoticeable, unless looking downward right at it within a few feet away in front of the vehicle, from the passenger side (most of the part is hidden behind the plate, only small portions on both sides are exposed).
I was waxing my car one day and saw the scratch, thinking it was a crack. Without checking closer, I bought a new part from the dealer, retail CAD165 plus tax.
Upon removal, I found the original part had a scratch only, not a crack or wrappage. But I went ahead to put the new one on anyway for cosmetics (and saved the trouble of returning), so now have the original base cleaned & available.
CAD30 plus shipping (ballpark CAD15-20 from Canada to US).
impala:
Please send me a PM if interested, stating your location so I can confirm the total including shipping at cost. Will be shipping it in the Mercedes box that the new part came in from the dealer.
Thank you.

Thank you for your interests and I've received your PM.
The bracket I have is for Canadian license plate, which I think is compatible with USA's. It looks exactly like the one shown in Skylaw's pictures ... same locations for the 6 screw holes and 3 prongs on the back. Mine is from a 2003 non-AMG model, and I think compatible with the face-lifted W220 2003-2006.
Does this suit your requirement ? If so I will find out the shipping cost this weekend and post here, together with some pics.

Well I'm Looking For The One That Holds A German Tag Its 21 in X 4 1/2 In
So If Yours Is The Same A Skylaws It Won't Do.
I Need One That Will Fit This Tag
But Thank You For Getting Back To Me
Harley03joe
Impala's tag has exactly the same part numbers as mine, so it will be the same.
If you're asking about your '05 W220, it's pretty clear from pages 192-198 of the '05 Owner's Manual, discussing A/C controls.
The center scroll wheel allows the temperature of air the coming from the center vents to be set automatically (when the light is lit) or manually (when it is not). Rotating the wheel up provides cooler air, and down provides warmer air.
The thumb wheels either side of it control the volume of air coming from the center vent closest to the respective thumb wheel.

I don't know details of this particular bulletin - but do know something about problems with updates. See Navigation Service Update DVD?? - MBWorld.org Forums, paying attention especially to konigsteiger's posts. They discuss two different updates (one to COMAND and one to the Nav system), and why they exist. Be sure you follow which is which.
BTW, we would need far more detail than you gave on the specific problem you are experiencing to be of any help - but hopefully the link will answer the question.

Harley03joe, unfortunately my bracket isn't what you're looking for, as it is in good shape and more than 80% off retail. As Skylaw suggested the scratch isn't very noticeable as it's partly hidden behind the plate. It is also quite low ... a foot off the ground when installed on the vechicle. Good luck with your search!
Anybody else looking for the bracket that fits Canadian & US plate, pls PM me.
