LIFTING 2002 MB S500 on a hoist

do I have to switch off any suspension air pump, to lift a 2002 MB S500 on a hoist???
im going to change engine mount and trans mount, any correct procedure for doing this.
my first time doing it

I don't know what kind of "hoist" you mean - but if you are going to raise it so that the wheels are not supported, you will want to follow this procedure when lowering it: Lower until the wheels touch the ground, but full weight of the car is not on the wheels. Start the car and allow the Airmatic system to repressurize. Then, fully lower the car.

In the event you have small leaks around the upper struts, this will prevent the car from going down on the struts.

Just raised it and drop it as any American car. If the wheels touch the fenders, it is time for you to replace the top seals of the struts and prevent any further compounded cost of relay or bad pump down the road or sudden failure in airmatic during a road trip.
